Bonus distributions: What if we asked your colleagues’ opinions?

If you're employed by a company that hands out bonuses, you may have noticed something. The allocation of bonuses is generally top-down and it is better for you not to be at odds with your N+1 when the “envelopes” are distributed. I'm drawing the line a little but you get the idea.
This mode of operation poses quite a few problems:
What if there was a way to change software?
- Potential lack of transparency
- Problem of identifying the most deserving people
- Practice which can encourage jealousy and spoil the atmosphere
By putting teams back at the heart of bonus allocation. At the start of the month, each employee would have a pot to distribute to their colleagues. A service provided, valuable help on a project, sharing of good practices... you distribute the amount allocated to you as you wish (generally around €50-100).
This service exists and is called Crowdbonus.
Of course you cannot offer yourself a bonus and your kitty is reset to zero each month.

A real way to develop kindness, mutual aid and also a great demonstration of trust left in the teams.
It’s certainly easier to set up in small structures but I love the idea!
And you? Would you like to pay some of your colleagues who deserve it?
