🥷 The end of anonymity?

Today we can discover the identity of a person we cross in the street in a few minutes.

If that seems big to you, I invite you to take a look at this video from the Defend Intelligence channel.

This summer this YouTuber posted himself in a square in Marseille and took photos of strangers sitting on café terraces.

En passant la photo dans a facial recognition software he managed to find the names of people, their place of residence, schools and even their employers.

To avoid giving bad ideas he does not mention the name of the software used but unfortunately I recognized it…

We even recorded a podcast on the subject with Remi.

All this shows once again how important it is to pay attention to the data we leave lying around and especially to the links between them.

Indeed, a photo without a name is of no use and an (exact) name without an attached LinkedIn or Facebook profile is hardly usable.

In short, be careful of the traces you leave (especially the oldest ones).

🌱 More environmentally friendly printing

We've been saying it for years but printing is not the best for the environment:

Manufacture and transport of paper, inks, solvents, ... in short, it's not crazy.

According to ADEME (Agency for Environment and Energy Management), companies consume on average 75 kg of paper (the equivalent of 30 reams) per person per year in France.

Ouch!

Personally I have to print 10 pages/year because I am obsessed with digital (which is not without reproaches either) and so I was very happy to discover Print Friendly.

What is it?

Print Friendly is a site and browser extension web that allow you to "clean" pages and documents before printing:

deletion of menus
deletion of images and videos
deletion of unnecessary paragraphs
removal of ads

In the end it can considerably reduce the number of printed pages.

To test urgently, it is essential and what's more it's free.
