🤯 The future of Google Search, Linkedin aims for the billion and the new Instagram

Hello,
It's been a long time since I let 2 weeks pass between 2 newsletters and I would like to apologize for that.
Two weeks since I have drafted articles in my iPhone without taking the time to finalize the newsletter.
It must be said that the 4-day weeks have not helped. Finally, we're getting back into good habits with an edition that will talk about education, AI, social networks and even the crazy story of an influencer who will become a millionaire thanks to her sexy AI.
Have a good read! mal
👩🏫 How ChatGPT improves learning?
We talk a lot about the impacts of GPT on the world of work and the upheavals that it will cause but I find everything also interesting to look at the opportunities offered by this new application on the acquisition of knowledge.
For the last 20 years when you wanted to know more about a subject you started with a Google search.

Only you did not receive a response but a list of links that you had to open one by one in the hope of finding the right information. Sometimes the page on which you found lacked clarity and you found yourself with terms to explore in more depth and bam new Google search… etc…
That's how you end up with dozens of tabs open without knowing much more.

ChatGPT radically changes this by offering a more iterative approach and direct access to the correct answer. In addition, cat GPT can adapt to different levels of complexity up to the level of a 5-year-old child.
Everything is not yet rosy since we have to keep an eye on the answers and their possible errors.
I remain convinced that the future of teaching will intensively use artificial intelligence to personalize the experience in the future of the level of progression of each student.
We already have some interesting examples with Duolingo for language learning.

🤯 Google presents to us the future of search and it's going to hurt
To pick up on the previous subject and as I have said several times in recent months, Chat GPT is an existential threat to the business of Google.
If Bard, the response presented so far has not really convinced Google to take advantage of its annual Google IO developers conference to present Search Generative Experience the search interface which will soon arrive on Google.com.
And that's not going to please everyone...
A use case presents what SGE will change when you're looking to buy a bike for a 5-mile commute to work with slopes.

The engine explains the points of attention: engine power, battery, suspensions as well a selection of products whose specifications are summarized by AI. Then I can query the selection to refine my choice
Indeed, as a user, I like what I see with a rich result generated by AI.
On the other hand, ciao the traditional search results which are relayed to the background at the bottom of the page and that risks very harming the traffic of many sites. Why open a page when I already have a relevant answer to my search?
SEO experts risk tearing their hair out in the coming months and we risk seeing the traffic of certain sites collapse.
In any case the next few months are going to be exciting 🍿.
🚀 Soon the billion for LinkedIn!
We talk about it less than the others but LinkedIn is a social network that impresses me!
A healthy business model based on subscription and advertisers, no fuss, limited access to data via APIs…

This is how LinkedIn has just crossed the threshold 930 million registered users (+30 million since last January) and could enter the very exclusive club of applications with 1 billion users by the end of the year.
📱The new application from the creators of Instagram
Okay, not completely new but it's unlikely that you've already heard of it.
But luckily for you, you're subscribed to my newsletter.
Artifact is the new application launched by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger the founders of Instagram.

Here nothing to do with the photo since we are on a feed of articles selected based on your interests and your consultation history via machine learning. In this we are even closer to TikTok than to Instagram.
I have been testing the application since its launch at the end of January in beta and it is full of good ideas.
In addition to providing me with increasingly relevant articles (but in English), the application is developing social features such as the possibility of commenting on articles in the application, the creation of profiles to follow our favorite publications or authors and even AI to summarize or popularize an article without needing to read it.
In short, I encourage you to test if you do monitoring in English. The application is now available for free to all iPhone and Android phone users.
🤳Caryn: the influencer who transformed into an AI
I had to talk to you about Caryn Marjorie an influencer who will become a millionaire thanks to her AI.
Please note, I am not talking about a virtual influencer as we discussed with Rémi in this podcast
No Caryn does exist and as she no longer had time to respond to all her fans she decided to be replaced by an AI trained on her voice.
She relied on Forever Voices a startup that uses GPT-4 and voice models to clone real people.
Thus Caryn can charge her fans $1/minute and the least we can say is that the sauce is taking off. This new service would have earned her $70,000 in one week.
It must be said that Caryn AI's conversations seem closer to the pink telephone than to beauty coaching.
A use which reminds us of the danger and the problems that will pose in the months and years to come the fact that we will be able to make anyone say anything.
And that's all for this week !
